Privacy

What we collect

• Your account. Your name, work email, a password (stored only in a scrambled form that nobody at Praavo can read back), and, if you add them, your business name, phone number, GSTIN, city, state and preferred language.
• The early-access list. If you register interest in the founding offer: your name, business name, email, language, and the time you agreed to the offer terms.
• What you upload. Invoices, ledgers and exports from your accounting software. These usually include details of the businesses you trade with, such as their names, GSTINs, bill amounts and dates.
• Records sent by Praavo Sync. If you connect your accounting software, Praavo Sync on your PC sends your sales bills and receipts, or the exports you save to a folder, every few minutes until you disconnect it. We also record the PC's name, when it last checked in, and what each file contained.
• What you tell us about other businesses. Ratings you give on quality, timeliness and conduct, and disputes you raise.
• Questions you ask the assistant. The messages you type into Ask Praavo.
• Basic visit counts. We may use Vercel Web Analytics to count page visits. It does not use cookies and does not identify you.

Your browser also keeps a few things on your own device: your sign-in session, and your theme and language choices. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

Why we use it

• To run your account and show you your own invoices, records and standing.
• To build the record of how businesses on Praavo deal with each other.
• To manage the early-access offer and contact you about your access.
• To answer your questions in the assistant.
• To keep Praavo secure and to fix problems.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who can see what

• Nobody else sees your bills, your amounts, or the list of businesses you trade with.
• Businesses you trade with can see a band and a direction of travel for your standing, not your underlying score or the records behind it.
• Ratings are never attributed. A rating is published only after at least three businesses have answered and a clear majority agree. Nobody is shown who said what.
• Nobody can look up a business’s private record by name. Discover lists only businesses that have chosen to be listed and shows their public business details, not their private payment record.
• A lender sees your information only if you give that specific lender permission inside Praavo. You can withdraw it, which stops any further sharing.
• Praavo’s own team can see what is needed to run the service and to answer your requests. Access to early-access registrations is limited to authorised admins.

Companies that help us run Praavo

Some of the work is done by other companies on our behalf. They handle your information only to provide their service to us.

• Vercel hosts the website.
• Render runs the application servers.
• Supabase hosts the database where your information is stored.
• Anthropic and OpenAI provide language models for the assistant. When a live model is used, your question and the parts of your own records needed to answer it are sent to that model provider. When a live model is unavailable, Praavo can answer locally from recorded figures. Scores are never calculated by the assistant.
• An email provider , to send messages such as password resets.

These companies may store or process information on servers outside India.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your information and confirm by email once it is done. We may keep some records for longer where the law requires it, and a rating that has already been combined with others into a published summary cannot be separated back out.

Your choices

You can ask us to:

• tell you what information we hold about you,
• correct anything that is wrong,
• delete your account and information,
• withdraw a permission you have given, including to a lender.

Other things to know

• Praavo is for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18.
• When you upload records that include other businesses, you are responsible for having the right to share them with us.
• If we change this page in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and tell account holders by email.
